Today, Saturday December 19 – Romans 1:7 “…Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Did you ever notice that the Apostle Paul used this phrase in his introduction to every epistle that he was inspired to write! As I thought about what I’m trying to accomplish in sharing these Pastor Chats over the past many months, I realized that’s exactly what I want you to experience, God’s grace and His peace. God’s grace is for sure, is His unmerited favor. God having mercy on me when I don’t deserve it. We are all born sinners with evil hearts that are in rebellion against God. But God loves us so much, that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the ultimate price for our rebellion and sin! We don’t deserve this but God’s grace gives us this great gift of forgiveness of sins and a brand new life and relationship with God, so that now He is our Father! But God’s grace is more than just unmerited favor. God’s grace in the New Testament, is God giving me everything I need, to face and deal with every problem, situation and challenge that crosses my daily path. His grace is always sufficient! 2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” And when you are receiving and experiencing God’s grace you will always enjoy God’s peace! So, it’s no wonder that Paul repeats this phrase over and over again because he knows if we need anything in life, it is God’s grace and His peace, which only comes through Jesus Christ our Lord! May the Word of God IMPACT you today, as you IMPACT the world tomorrow! God bless!
