Let God Take Care of It

Jude 1:8-11 “Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.”

Jude is reminding us that God will judge the apostates, the false teachers, who in reality are wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing! Even in the Old Testament we are told that they promise peace when there is no peace. "Because from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is given to covetousness; And from the prophet even to the priest, Everyone deals falsely. They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, 'Peace, peace!' When there is no peace.” (Jeremiah 6:13-14) Jeremiah repeats this message numerous times in his book of prophesies.

We are hearing this same message today! But that is a dream world that is not reality! There can be no peace without God! Everyone wants peace but they don’t want the God who alone can bring them peace! Jude tells us that these apostates are dreamers who reject God and His authority!

Today I was thinking, that before I get too critical or judgmental myself, about those around us that are ungodly false leaders and teachers, that I need to leave their judgment up to God and make sure my own heart is where it should be with Him. For some reason a passage in Romans 14 kept coming to my mind that I want to leave with you today!

Romans 14:7-12 “For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written: "As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God." So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”

I know this passage in Romans is about judging a fellow believer in what they can eat or shouldn’t eat. But the principle is still there for us to let God be in charge of the judgement of those around us.

Today, is your heart right with God? Is Jesus the Lord of your life? If not, right now you can find grace, forgiveness and mercy as you confess, repent and turn everything over to Jesus!

God bless!
