JESUS: HE THAT HAS THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD AND THE SEVEN STARS

“These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars”

(Revelation 3:1).

Jesus is He That Has the Seven Spirits of God. This is not a reference to seven different “spirits” sent by God, but rather this is a reference to the One Spirit of God who will minister to you and to the church in various ways. Jesus can send the Holy Spirit to do many things in your life. The Spirit can convict of sin, regenerate, indwell, baptize, seal, guide, and give you spiritual gifts. Jesus can send the Holy Spirit to make you holy and to make you spiritual; receive what He sends.

“Lord, I receive all the various ministries of the Holy Spirit into my heart. Work in my life today.”

Jesus is He That Hath the Seven (Churches) Stars. These stars are churches (Rev. 2:1). All churches are dear to Him, as are all the believers in them. However, there were some problems in this church, “. . . you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead” (Rev. 3:1). “Remember therefore what you have received and heard; hold fast and repent” (Rev. 3:3). No matter how spiritual—or carnal—a church, Jesus knows, and He works in that church to make them godlier. Jesus is “He that is coming as a thief in the night, in an hour when you do not expect me” (Rev. 3:3, Author’s Translation). Walk faithfully before Him in love because “He that is an overcomer will be clothed in white and his name will not be blotted out of the book of life” (Rev. 3:5, Author’s Translation).

“Lord, send the Holy Spirit to make me more godly. You are the Coming One; I wait for Your appearance. Amen.”
