JESUS: THE WORD OF LIFE

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we

have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands

have handled, concerning the Word of life.

1 JOHN 1:1

Jesus is the Word of Life; His words give eternal life to all who believe Him. Spokesmen for false religions speak words of death, and idols cannot speak at all. As the Word of Life, Jesus communicates the life-giving message of the Father to the world. No one had seen the Father until Jesus came as the Word of Life to express what the Father was like. He spoke the message of salvation, and in His death He provided life to all who would believe. His words of life give the message of His death, burial and resurrection.

Jesus, I know You have the words of life; sing them over

again to me so that I never forget their message. Sing them

often to me, because I love to hear them.

Jesus is the Word of Life that you must hear and understand to know how to go to Heaven. Then you must act on His words in order to be saved. No other words have eternal life embedded in their message. Peter asked a question, telling us that only Jesus has life-giving words: "To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life" (John 6:68). Only Jesus has the words that give you eternal life. He is the Word of Life; take Him into your life.

Jesus, I will believe Your words of life and will walk daily according to

Your message. I will love Your words and cherish their message. I will

share Your words of life with those who don’t know You. Amen.
