THE HOLY SPIRIT: THE SAME SPIRIT

“But one and the same Spirit works all these things,

distributing to each one individually as He wills.

1 Corinthians 12:11

The Holy Spirit is the Same Spirit who delivered salvation to you, and He is also The Same Spirit who gave you spiritual gifts. There’s only one Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:4), and He is The Same Spirit who works in your heart. But He’s also the Same Spirit who works in the heart of every believer all over the world. How can He be everywhere—equally—at the same time? He is omnipresent because He is God. He is the Same Spirit who’s ministering in Heaven right now and the Same Spirit who wants to minister to you. Yield to His control.

Holy Spirit, forgive my limited view of who You are. Come, stretch

my faith today. Teach me greater faith to see all you do.

The Holy Spirit is the Same Spirit who created the world (Genesis 1:2) and the Same Spirit who formed you in the womb (Psalm 139:13-16). He is the Same Spirit who gives the gift of faith to one, and the Same Spirit who gives the gift of healing to another (1 Corinthians 12:9). He is “the same Spirit [who] works all these things” (1 Corinthians 12:11). Look to Him for every spiritual need in your life.

Holy Spirit, thank You for reminding me of Your larger work in the

 world and Your specific work in my life. Help me re-focus my thoughts

on Your power so I can do things I have to do today. Amen.
