JESUS: THE CHIEF CONERSTONE

Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion

a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him

will by no means be put to shame.”

1 Peter 2:6

Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.

Ephesians 2:20

Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone, the Foundation to Christianity and the church. He is the Chief Cornerstone for your life. Just as a foundation is laid at the corner of a building and the superstructure is built upon it, so Jesus is the spiritual Foundation upon whom you must build your life. He will give you direction about how to live. Rest on Him; He can hold you up. He can give you a secure future. Don’t worry; He can hold you steady in the storm. When pressures come, Jesus is a firm Foundation, the Chief Cornerstone. Do you need stability in your life today?

Jesus, thank You for stability. I know I have weaknesses,

and I know where I fail. Thank You for never changing,

for never failing. I will rest on You today.

Just as a cornerstone gives direction where the building will be built, so Jesus is the Chief

Cornerstone who will show you how to build your life. He has forgiven your sins, but the

Christian life is much more than salvation. You must live for Christ and serve Him. You must

build every part of your life on Christ. He will show how you should live and grow. Are you

building on His foundation?

Jesus, I need Your direction in my life. I try to follow You, but sometimes

I get sidetracked in the details of life. Direct me what to do today and

what to say. I need help. Amen.
