JESUS: THE PRINCE OF LIFE

And killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the

dead, of which we are witnesses.

ACTS 3:15

Before His death, Jesus was also called the Prince of Life. Because a prince is one who is waiting to ascend the throne, the name "Prince of Life” was a prediction of Jesus' coming resurrection. Because Jesus is Life, death could not keep Him in the grave. When He was raised from the dead, He was given new resurrection life. The predicted Prince of Life becomes the Resurrection and the Life to all who would believe. After His resurrection, Jesus ascended to His throne in Heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father. Now Jesus is more than the Prince of Life; He is the reigning King of Heaven. Today He wants to enrich your life.

Lord Jesus, when You died, my sins were nailed to the cross.

When You arose from the dead, I arose with you (see Galatians 2:20).

Now, let Your resurrection life flow through me.

Jesus gives eternal life to all who believe in Him, so they can live forever (see 1 John 5:12). He gives them abiding life, so they can be fruitful in Him, the Vine (see John 15:1-5). He gives them the power of resurrection life to overcome sin and temptation. He gives them satisfying life, so they can enjoy fellowship with Him. He gives them heavenly life, so they can worship Him. Will you worship the Prince of Life now?

Lord Jesus, I thank You for eternal life. I praise You for the power of

resurrection life and its victory over sin. Now I worship You for all you are.
