THE HOLY SPIRIT: THE SPIRIT OF GLORY
If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the
Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed,
but on your part He is glorified.
(1 Peter 4:14).
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Glory who rests on you when you suffer for your faith.
Remember, the Holy Spirit enters your life when you are saved, and helps you in Christian
service. But the Holy Spirit has a special ministry when you are persecuted for your faith. He is the Spirit of Glory who helps you get through pain to experience God’s glory. The Spirit of Glory will help you see God’s purpose for suffering. And when you endure affliction with a victorious attitude, you bring glory to God.
O Spirit of God, help me endure persecution when suffering comes. Bring
glory to the Father when I go through the valley of the shadow of death.
The Holy Spirit will glorify the Father when you successfully overcome trials and temptations. He is the Spirit of Glory who will minister to you in your darkest hour. He is the Spirit of God who rests upon all you do. Invite Him to direct your life today so you will be ready when the storms come. Yield to the Spirit of Glory so that you can worship today.
Holy Spirit, guide me to the ‘good things’ of life. When storms come,
keep me rejoicing and trusting You. Bring glory to the Father
through me, Spirit of Glory. Amen.
