JESUS: OUR HOPE

By the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope.

1 TIMOTHY 1:1

Jesus is your Hope when things go wrong; He can change circumstances when you pray. Jesus is your Hope when you're in a hole and it seems you can't get out. He can transform you in the hole, or He can get you out. When your hole has you boxed in with no escape, Jesus can make a way of escape (see 1 Corinthians 10:13). Sometimes God lets you stay in your hole to learn lessons. And your hole becomes a classroom to teach you the perfect will of God. But even when you're laboring in difficulty, Jesus is your Hope, because He can change your attitude and outlook on life. He can teach you what you need to learn. Jesus can give you purpose and make the hole worthwhile.

Jesus, You are my Hope; I put all my trust in You to work all things

together for good (see Romans 8:28). Teach me what I must learn from

my circumstances. When I don't understand what's happening around

me, give me hope for the future.

Jesus is the Hope of future life for all believers, because all must die. But after our death, He will return to resurrect the bodies of all who believed in Him on Earth. You can have hope beyond the grave, for Jesus promises that you will live after death. You will live with Him forever in Heaven (see John 14:1-3).

Jesus, how can I be hopeless when I abide in You and You abide in me

(see John 15:5)? You give me hope in this life, and You give me

confidence beyond the grave. You are the only hope I have. Amen.
