“Preach the Gospel to Every Creature”

Mark 16:15

And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

In Mark’s Gospel, it is clear in the Great Commission given by Jesus to the disciples that He meant for the gospel was to be shared with every person. As we studied through Luke’s Gospel, it became very obvious that Jesus was very concerned and interested in the individual person. Yes, Jesus preached and ministered to the multitudes but He always took the time and energy to “touch” the one person that needed help, grace, and salvation.

When you read all the Great Commission passages in the Gospels and Acts, Jesus sent the disciples to preach and share the message of the His suffering, death, burial, and resurrection to all the nations and every people and language group. But we need to remember salvation doesn’t happen in groups but in individuals, one at a time. Each individual person is loved by God, and they experience His grace and salvation one at a time. That’s why today in our chat we are focusing on the numbers of individuals that are alive and living on planet Earth that need the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.

I recorded today’s video chat on Thursday evening from the GO Center, a ministry of Global Partners in Peace and Development, located in Roanoke Virginia. My daughter-in-law Heidi Grooms, my son Jonathan, and their team are dedicated to influencing believers of Jesus Christ to join God on a mission to reach those who have never heard about Him. The GO Center is full of displays that allow hands-on interaction with the mission field, offering a special opportunity to discover God's heart for people who have never heard the gospel. Today the world has the largest population of people in history. As of August 4, 2025, the world population is estimated to be approximately 8.24 billion people and growing at rate of 0.84% per year. We are being told that approximately 3.4 billion people (roughly 42% of the world’s population of 8.24 billion as of August 2025) are considered part of unreached people groups (UPGs), meaning they have little to no access to the Gospel. This includes individuals with minimal or no exposure to the message of Jesus Christ or salvation.

Also today, there are approximately 17,400 distinct people groups worldwide when defined by ethnolinguistic and cultural boundaries. Of these, about 7,280 to 7,400 are considered unreached, meaning they have less than 2% evangelical Christians and less than 5% overall Christian adherents, with no indigenous church capable of evangelizing the group without external help. Within UPGs, 189 unengaged unreached people groups (UUPGs), totaling over 5.7 million people, have no missionaries, no outreach, and no Christian resources like Bibles in their language. Estimates suggest 66,000 people die daily without hearing the Gospel, emphasizing the urgency of missionary efforts.

Jesus cared for individuals. In Luke chapter 8, He told His disciples, "Get in the boat. Let's go to the other side." Despite ministering to crowds in northern Galilee, He crossed over for two demon-possessed men, one ready to be freed and come to Him. Jesus went to where he was to share the good news. My friend, today will you join me to go to the other side.

You can be part of this mission through prayer. Right now I’m asking for people to join me in praying for 400 pastors I've met in India, many of them working with unreached people groups. I need 300 more people to pray for these pastors. My dad began working with this fellowship of pastors over 30 years ago, and it has grown significantly. They need your prayers, support, and encouragement. Your prayers alone can make a difference. Every believer praying, giving, and going is essential to the fulfillment of the Great Commission!

Please email at pastormike@pmiministries.org and I will send you a pastor’s name, location, and information about his family and church so you can pray specifically for him. Yes, they need financial support—our budget for these pastors is $6,000 a month, and we currently are only receiving $3,000 a month for this ministry. However, prayer is the main thing. Will you join me as an India pastor prayer partner for these dear men of God? Your prayers can make an eternal difference, as many of these pastors work with unreached people groups.

Jesus is coming again, but we don’t know when. The gospel must be preached to all nations, and every person deserves the chance to hear it before they perish. You can make a difference. Join me in this prayer team, and I believe that in heaven, people from India will thank you for praying for the pastor who led them to Jesus. These pastors face tremendous persecution and suffering—a church was attacked and scattered this week. They need your prayers. Send me an email today at the email address below, and I’ll provide the name of a pastor for you to pray for.

God bless!
