It’s All About God’s Glory
Jude 1:24-25 “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.”
When you have seriously and diligently studied the Bible completely from Genesis to Revelation you will come to one major conclusion! The Bible is all about God’s glory! For that matter, all creation is about God’s glory. We as human beings were created for God’s glory! When you observed the marvels and the beauties of nature on this earth you will have to conclude that it reveals God’s glory! When you gaze into the heavens at night and behold the moon, the stars and the galaxies, you will be reminded of His glory!
Everything about God is glorious! Glory is the sum total of all that God is! That’s why when the Apostle John saw Jesus for the first time and experience His presence for three and a half years, he was moved to write: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
When the writer of Hebrews introduces his book he begins by saying this: “Has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:2-3).
As I’ve been studying this wonderful book of Jude and reading the scriptures about the God’s wisdom, I couldn’t help but notice almost every time the wisdom of God is mentioned, it is connected to His glory.
Jesus is the “brightness of His glory and the express image of His person”! Jesus is the wisdom of God manifest to us!
Jesus proclaimed Himself to be the “Light of the world”: “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." (John 8:12) Jesus also told His disciples in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
When we are walking in His light and preforming good works it so that the world may see the presence of God in our lives and experience His glory! In the Old Testament when both the Tabernacle and the Temple were completed and dedicated, the Shekinah Glory Cloud of God’s presence showed up and no one could even enter them!
Today, are you living for the “glory of God”? Are you radiating His glory in your attitudes, in your actions, in your deeds! Do others see Jesus in you and experience the glorious presence of God? Because really that is what it is all about!
God bless!
