Thanks for Your Prayers
I don’t have a video “Pastor Chat” today, but I wanted to thank everyone for your prayers this weekend and give an update. After preaching in our morning service on Matthew 24 at Friendly Community Church in Burgaw NC, I went to Wilmington NC to catch my first flight to Liberty Airport in Newark NJ. From there I was blessed to make my “standby” flight to Sarasota Florida. My granddaughter picked me up at the airport and after loading her car on the trailer, (thankfully the moving truck was already loaded), we begin our journey to Virginia around 8:30pm. At 2:30am we arrived at Nathan’s home in Kingsland GA to get a few hours sleep. (Nathan is stationed there with the Navy at the King’s Bay Submarine Base). We left there around 8:30am and continued our drive up interstate 95 to Blue Ridge Va. After a total of13 hours of driving we arrived safely at 5:50pm. We never encountered any “backups” or even “slow downs” on the whole trip. After arriving we drove immediately to Jonathan’s house for a birthday party for my grandson Ricky, who turned 14! After a brief time there, I went to Roanoke Memorial hospital to spend some time with my daughter Kimberly and Luke. Luke had just come out of surgery and was resting peacefully. Thank you so much for your prayers and please continue to pray for Luke, Kimberly and Chris.
I also wanted to continue to at least to post the Experiencing God and Utmost of His Highest devotionals and daily reading in the Psalms. I trust they will continue to be a blessing and encouragement to your daily walk with the Lord!
